Knowledge Boundaries

Operational guide for witness scope, public cover, and disclosure. Default to the smallest effective witness circle. If another file implies broader knowledge, treat that implication as suspect until deliberately canonised here.

Current Cover and Final Account

Thomas: Northern records still list him as missing, presumed dead in Crown Deep service. The public record is never corrected. Restricted witnesses now know that he later reached Fallen Isle and disappeared at the Broken Court after the Demon Lord's removal; no body or destination was found.
Isha Vaeloren: Northern/public contexts still know her as Thomas's bereaved intended partner. Restricted final-account witnesses know she fought beside him at the Broken Court and disappeared with him. Her fate is unknown.
Kelda: remains publicly Green Road's C-rank half-dwarf fighter and surviving party member. Restricted witnesses know she died, was restored by Thomas, and carried the final account. Her restored body's idealisation is private, not a public rank claim.
Green Road after Chapter 214: Green Road remains Thomas, Isha and Kelda in record and memory. It is not an active three-person party because Thomas and Isha are absent. Erenai is still a voluntary harm witness, not a member.

Cover Use

Use the smallest cover that fits the scene:

Trusted final-account circle	Green Road remains Thomas, Isha and Kelda in record; Kelda and Erenai hold the immediate aftermath, while family/Elven/crown/deep-dwarf recipients receive bounded versions.

The apprentice cover works because it is close to truth: Isha teaches, guides, corrects, protects, and socially frames Thomas, explaining why a young human travels with a Wood Elf and accepts her lead. Do not make it flawless; sharp locals may notice Thomas is unusually educated, careful with power, or older in manner. It survives because most people have no reason to connect him to a northern death report.

"Apprentice" may carry private playful or tender charge between Thomas and Isha, especially around Isha's dominant streak and Thomas's comfort yielding. Keep this intimate, character-grounded, and limited to when both are present and consenting. Publicly it is social cover, field instruction, magical training, and Wood Elf supervision; privately it may support teasing, correction, permission-language, and chosen submission. It must not become public sexual performance, humiliation, or an erasure of Thomas's agency.

Granitethroat passage under Seventh Understep witness	Thomas, Isha, Kelda, Maerra Seven-Cut, immediate Seventh Understep gate witnesses; Dorruk Stone-Under-Water and Harra Deep-Set know they gave the approach token	They know Kelda presented craft/witness questions, Thomas is publicly Isha's apprentice with a strong shaping spell, and Green Road passed under witness. Eastern Witness Defaults

Main west port / Westhook: witnesses may notice a quiet Wood Elf, a human apprentice, a half-dwarf adventurer, and Porridge arriving from the Grey Tern and heading inland. Some may have heard a northern death rumour, but should not connect the apprentice to Thomas Albrecht unless a later scene deliberately creates pressure.
Larchmeet / highland villages: locals know Isha as mentor/guide, Thomas as her human apprentice, and Kelda as a retired/resting adventurer friend. They may see controlled practical utility, house-building, politeness, carefulness, strangeness, and unusual usefulness, but not Rank A/Rank S, Holy magic, Homegate, Pocket Island, Crownholt truth, official death, or Crown Deep connection.
Practical work witnesses: may see restrained utility magic such as Form, Cleanse, Warm Area, Create Water, Renew, Appraise, or basic healing if justified by the scene. They should frame it as odd apprentice usefulness or Green Road's competence, not proof of Rank A/Rank S, Holy magic, or northern identity.
Demi-human city contacts: may be more socially and politically sophisticated than village witnesses. They may question why a human apprentice is inland; default to suspicion/curiosity, not recognition.
Dark-elf or early deep-dwarf authorities: may have better information channels. Do not assume ignorance, but do not publicly collapse the cover unless the scene deliberately escalates the political situation. After Ch 191, sealed Irondeep/Great Peak witnesses have a specific enlarged witness scope; ordinary eastern/deep-dwarf public still does not. Dark-elf leaders may know Aelira's request and their own seal duty without knowing Thomas's Rank A/Rank S, Homegate, Pocket Island, Revive, or northern truth. Nethis has heard Thomas's full name but is bound by Green Road's terms not to use it in public or messages outside the sibling crowns. Dark-elf social superiority, human curiosity, and demi-human labour resentment are public social context rather than restricted strategic knowledge.
Dark-elf social assumptions: Thomas being human makes him exotic, low-status in elven hierarchy, and politically awkward, but not automatically part of the old demi-human servant/slave pattern. Demi-human workers, servants, farmers, and household staff in the south may be paid and still carry resentment from older unfree or near-unfree arrangements, especially where long-lived witnesses remember them. Do not turn this into knowledge of Green Road's restricted facts.
Kethrun contacts: Berrit, Veyna, Nemi, Harra Deep-Set, and Dorruk Stone-Under-Water know the party came with a human apprentice and Kelda's craft questions. Dorruk and Harra Deep-Set know enough to send them to Granitethroat, not the full strategic truth.
Granitethroat / Seventh Understep: witnesses know more than ordinary highlanders, still not core secrets. Maerra Seven-Cut and immediate gate witnesses saw Kelda's token, mason's point, sketch of the Larchmeet houses, Thomas's admission of an uncomfortable strong shaping spell under Isha's apprentice frame, and Kelda's questions about surface-built stone, frost foundation, road honesty, and standing of work outside mountain proof. Green Road passed under witness only: no deep-hold reception, clan/house recognition, sanctuary, or permission to speak of sealed works.
Irondeep / Great Peak sealed witnesses: see the table above. They may speak of witnessed holy force, healing, Form, Magnog, and metal answer only inside sealed procedure. Do not let this leak into ordinary island/public scenes by default.
Private Green Road scenes: may use "apprentice" playfully or tenderly, but prose must make clear whether it means public cover, genuine teaching frame, flirtation, or chosen private dynamic.

For ordinary eastern village, trade, road, or work conversations, Thomas's full name, northern history, rank, Homegate survival, and Crownholt connection should not appear unless the scene is explicitly private, diplomatic, or linked to the northern death report.

Historical Public Witness Scopes Through Chapter 209

Karrick Gate officials / The Lantern Badger: know Green Road survived the Third Drain and a red-gate lower-works incident involving organised goblins, an orc chieftain, worker tags, traps, and emergency offensive magic. They do not know Holy Lance, dark fire, Revive, Homegate, or sealed Rank B/Rank A.
Hearthmere locals: know Green Road recovered bell-goats, witnessed real old-road lights, fought a slow peat/stone/root brute, exposed Sella Varr, and made the watch ridge safe enough for town process. Public language stays old-road magic, bell resonance, controlled light magic, shield work, and practical adventuring, not Holy magic or Rank B/A.
Rimeholt witnesses: saw Cleanse, Form, repair, detection, low-level healing, and disciplined party practice. Brenn Cale recorded enough unusual usefulness to help northern agents identify Green Road.
Northern Crown / Crownholt: officially treated Thomas and Isha as honoured guests under crown authority and Kelda as unsuitable for royal carriage/protocol. After the Crown Deep collapse, records hold Thomas as missing/presumed dead; they know he was unusually useful and deteriorating, but not true Rank A, Homegate, Revive, or confirmed Holy classification.
Arliss Fen: may suspect a concealed shield/unknown light during the collapse, without proof. Keep her as possible future pressure, not a broad disclosure vector.
Thomas's family: knows Thomas survived and must uphold the lie. Ch.202 adds bounded Crownholt/seal/Black Lock danger and Thomas's rejection of Hero identity, but not Rank A/Rank S, exact Crown Deep bottom, Homegate method, Pocket Island or Revive. Mara's word “resurrection” is not proof of Revive knowledge.
Aelira: knows the Ch.157 Crownholt truth and receives the Ch.201 bounded Great Peak/second-seal/western update at the forester's rest. She knows Thomas remained Rank A at that meeting, not his later Rank S advancement, Erenai, passage station or island events.
Irondeep/Great Peak sealed witnesses: know the latest deep-dwarf incident evidence, including holy force and Magnog under restricted framing, plus the first-seal public/sealed rulings: no custody, no forced separation, no hidden-method inquiry, Kelda's bounded work standing, and Thomas as restricted impossible-category caster. They do not know Thomas's private pocket/passage abilities or northern secrets.
King Beneath: knows Magnog/lower-sign doctrine by office and observed Great Peak evidence. Separately, by Ch 185 oath-sealed private examination, he knows selected deeper Thomas facts: failed summoning, Rank A/Hero-tier mana, Revive, dark fire, Crown Deep bottom warning, and Black Lock scope. He does not know Homegate, Pocket Island, Magic Pocket, exact escape method, or pocket/passage mechanics.
Dark-elf southern court: by Ch.199, the city/court broadly knows Green Road has arrived under guest-right, but broad public knowledge remains shallow: Wood Elf mentor, human apprentice, half-dwarf friend, Nethis's guided road-party, Aelira-related first audience, controlled supper/social-court attention, and unusual restrictions. First-audience witnesses know more: Aelira's inner request was opened; Green Road is witness/not offering; exact Crown Deep warning Do not wake what keeps the gate shut; no claim through care; Thomas refused private passage and Rank questions; Isha blocked death-continuity questioning. The smaller Ch.197-199 sealed/descent witnesses know bounded categories, wrong-side Hero recognition and the erased-office finding, but this does not become general court knowledge. They do not automatically know Rank A, Homegate, Pocket Island, Magic Pocket, Revive, full Crown Deep bottom, exact Black Lock details, full Demon Lord/seal mechanics, or private escape/passage mechanics.
Dark-elf crowns/second-seal witnesses (Ch.198-199): know wrong-side Hero-category recognition, erased-office wear and outer-memory compromise; contain rather than publicise it. They do not know later Rank S or western island details.
Thomas's family (Ch.202): know Thomas lives, the public death lie remains necessary, bounded Crownholt/seal/Black Lock danger and that he denies being Hero. Mara's accidental “resurrection” wording does not establish knowledge of Revive.
Western freed captives/cliff settlement (Ch.204-206): know Green Road killed demons, removed collars/modifications, healed and fed them, and is going toward the island. Most do not know Pocket Island, Homegate, Revive, true identity/rank or full seal model.
Erenai (Ch.206-209): knows Thomas's Holy/healing scale, passage-station issuance, First Hand hierarchy, island route, lower-hands rescue and Rank S confirmation. She does not know Homegate, Magic Pocket, Revive, Thomas's full prior-life story, or Pocket Island's method/name; she is told only that Thomas/Isha use a private refuge.
Lower-hands survivors (Ch.208): witness demons killed, mass Holy Purge/Greater Heal, vast food creation and evacuation. They may recognise Thomas as an extraordinary holy caster, but not the formal system messages/levels or all Green Road secrets.

Final Witness Scopes Through Chapter 214

Erenai: knows the return road, lower office, Court Hand cadence, First Hand hierarchy, final hostile-network collapse, Kelda's death/return and Thomas/Isha's absence. She does not know the internal Demon Lord conversation, exact Pocket Island mechanism or destination of the missing pair.
Broken Court survivors / western settlements: know all true demons died, command glass failed, Green Road ended the First Hand and Kelda survived. Most know Thomas/Isha only as missing after the court; formal rank and private magic remain restricted.
Thomas's family: receive Kelda's private account that Thomas saved the world, restored Kelda, reached Isha and vanished without bodies. They retain the public Crown Deep death story. Mira holds the broken Preservation Ring fragments; Tessa holds Isha's surviving arrow.
Wood Elf restricted circle: Aelira, Thalen, Sairen, Sereth and Ruvan receive the bounded final account. They preserve uncertainty, prevent Thomas/Isha becoming posthumous assets, and record Green Road as three.
Sibling crowns / King Beneath: receive bounded reports that the demonic containment load and hostile administration ended. They do not gain the exact private passage mechanism or a proven fate for Thomas/Isha.
Public fantasy-world history: may eventually know that demons died and western control ended. It should not automatically know Thomas's name, Rank S, Revive, Pocket Island, the Demon Lord's exact destination or the private relationship mechanics of Green Road.
